I go crab on this pier and get a lunch at SeaScape. Always fresh tasting great options on the menu. Calamari is delicious.
Food good, service friendly, a bit grubby. Salt and pepper shakers and menus looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. Sticky icky!
I walked into a crowded restaurant (as expected on a weekend) and was told by a waiter that there would be a waiting time of 15-20 minutes. I agreed but the waiter, after 10 minutes, said the wait could increase to a half hour since the couple he thought had finished weren’t getting up. Not wanting to miss the views (based on reviews), I waited a bit more and was ushered in after 15 minutes. I was shown the way to a table all the way at the back whose seats were covered with sand and water (which the waiter promptly got rid of). The views I was expecting were nonexistent because of the location of my table. Then came my waiter who for some reason looked thoroughly disengaged and surly. Her curt responses without any hint of politeness were very off-putting as well. All of this combined with the decent food left a (no pun intended) bad taste in my mouth and I was glad to leave.
Very dissatisfied. We was never offered anything to drink but water .my hamburger was not cooked all the way. We ordered a shrimp cocktail and was watered down and the ranch was watered down. Not real friendly staff.all it has going for them is the view and French fries.
So beautiful. The BlackBerry pies and shakes are so good!! And the clam chowder bowl, was so hot and delicious. The fish and chips were hot and perfect!! My kids love to visit this restaurant. The staff is so friendly and service was great. Will be back asap.
We had two meals here, lunch and breakfast. We had been hesitant because of the negative comments, but we had good food and prompt service. Ashley is great! Very friendly and she gave us good advice on menu options. She was knowledgeable about the various preparations. We really enjoyed talking with her. Great view, too, of course. If we lived there, this would be a go-to place.
Incredibly slow service. Go for as fried as possible because the sea food is not great. Great view though.
A decent view of a cove. Chili was different, good and not spicy. Iced tea was strong and very good. The restaurant is small. (The town of Trinidad is very small.) We did not order any other food to comment on.
Beautiful view, great service, cheap bottled beer. Fish was a bit overcooked and dry (tried halibut and salmon). Great baked potato and clam chowder though. Would definitely go again for view alone. Definitely recommend the easy walk across the point to see the sunset after dinner.
Neat little restaurant! We were seated in the cabana which gave a nice view of the pier and we could hear the water crashing on the shore. Unfortunately we were seated next to a very rude women complaining about her meal and very rude to the staff demanding things, she then started complaining how we cracked the window to hear the waves and it was a little stuffy so definitely needed fresh air. Our server was kind, we ordered the crab grilled cheese and friend combo consisting of 3 different fish, shrimp and scallops which were a little bland in taste, no flavor at all. We were happy to try it but most likely won’t be going back
What a fun little place on the pier. Love to watch the boats come in and smell the ocean air. Seems like they are almost always open and welcoming to guests. Grab a quick bite or hang around a little while.
Nice ambience. Its always nice to have a seafood restaurant right on the water with an ocean view. It seemed a little short-staffed, but food was good.
Best milkshake ever! Real strawberries and cream. Aaron was super friendly. Blueberry pancakes were huge, and the artichoke "omlet" was great.
I cannot say enough good about this wonderful place. The view is gorgeous, prices are very reasonable, and the food was the best I had on my trip to the coast. Johanna was our server and she went above and beyond to ensure our experience was great. Pablo, the cook, went entirely out of his way to prepare a dish that would fit within my dietary restrictions. Best food, best service, would recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Thank you!!
Authentic, cozy with great views. Fresh seafood and great service
My favorite breakfast restaurant in the whole world! Their clam chowder scramble is a MUST have. And if you love oysters, then try the hangtown fry! You will never find a restaurant with a more beautiful view. I have the hardest time going anywhere else whenever I visit the area.
Combo seafood fry for $25 not worth it. Sole rubbery, shrimp overcooked, cod not tender nor was scallops. Clam chowder good consistency but celery still had crunch, and plenty of potato. Great location.
What a cute place on a commercial fisherman pier. Sweet service delicious food👍. Great coffee. I had Fisherman’s breakfast, huge portions, blackberry pancakes 2 eggs and bacon. Thanks! What a view.
Just like we remembered it. Had a wonderful meal with clam chowder, scallops and prawns. Everything was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. Would give it 5 stars but for the need for some updating. Booth seats are taped where material had split.
Great little place. View was relaxing and peaceful; the sound of the water was perfect. Food was delicious, best clam chowder I've had in my life. Service was GREAT. We ordered the Trinidad Bay Platter(poached), Surf and Turf, and Fish and Chips. We all enjoyed it.
Best calamari I've had in years. Great view, good service and reasonably priced.
The allure of the restaurant is predominantly the area in which it sits. The Seascape Restaurant sits at the base of famous Trinidad Head, and is situated on a small inlet with immediate beach access. Large windows face the sea, providing stunning views of the ocean and Trinidad. The food was alright, but none of the times I have been there have I had my 'socks blown off,' per se. Om my first visit, the wait staff seemed to rush our time in the restaurant; which in turn dampened the experience. The subsequent visits were less rushed, but the vibes still felt slightly off.
A local restaurant has so much atmosphere it hardly needs its delicious food! It’s right on the historic wharf and you can sit by the window to watch the waves roar in. Plus some boats too!The waitress was very nice, very personableAnd was always attentive to our needs. I’ve eaten there off and on over the years, and I would say that it’s food is better than ever. It’s clam chowder is really the best locally, fish is right off the boats and never too oily.Yep, I love the place.I would give it 5 stars but not if there doing, sometimes it’s slow because of a shortage of staff occasionally. Although not the last time I was there. 😊
Hadn't been for years so we went for lunch on our anniversary, I had always enjoyed the clam chowder but was very disappointed from what I remember as great chowder was now more like potato soup. It was very thick with very little clam flavor. The restaurant has a wonderful view and the staff was accommodating. The clam strips were good, I just won't be back for the chowder they seem to have misplaced the recipe.
My daughter and her boyfriend brought us here for brunch when I came to visit. I'm 2nd generation born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. So I kinda know my way around a good clam chowder. At least I thought I did! This was by far the best clam chowder I've ever had! The rest of the food was great, service was awesome, the view beautiful! Can't wait for the next visit🙏
Blackberry pie to die for! The blackberry shake was excellent as well. Pretty decent clam chowder, and very good fish and chips. Nice staff. Pretty view.
Hey, you should totally stop by this restaurant it is totally great and the views are pretty amazing. Of course the food is pretty excellent and the service is great. But the coolest thing about this place is that it is right there basically on the water and you can take in all the sights and there is the pier that you can walk out on. Yes, I think you should go to this restaurant.
Charming. Great BREAKFAST. Super helpful and friendly staff gave us Tourist Pointers.
Their clam chowder is the best on the north coast.
Nice people who were eating here. Nice staff working here, not haven't eaten yet. Great stout.
Very nice place to a get away with good food and drinks, great little spot
Good food .reasonable prices.
Another great place for all kinds of seafood, great tasty fish and chips and delicious, thick clam chowder!! Love the view of the pier area and ocean!! Great service as well!!!
Their fish and chips and the clam chowder are amazing. Staff are friendly and there are amazing views
Stopped by for breakfast with my family and friends when we were visiting the area. They were busy before and after we left, but you can walk around the area or wait outside as they do a good job turning over the tables. They have a good amount of staff, so we had drinks and our orders taken quickly. Someone was always checking on our coffee and cleaning up our plates as we finished which was nice. Their food is delicious and more than you can eat, so you could probably share a dish between two. Highly recommend if you're looking for a breakfast spot and your visiting the area.
The food is always fresh and yummy, cashiers hands out great customer service. I love the cleanliness and ambience. I highly recommend this place.
The service was great and very accommodating! We had a medium sized group who all had not arrived yet when we got there and they arranged seating for all of us even though not all members were there. We had refreshments as our other members of the group were in transit and as soon as they arrived we received prompt service. From the time we placed our orders to receiving them took a short amount of time and the food was fantastic!! It was early afternoon when we visited so some people ordered breakfast and others from the lunch menu and all of it was great!! Would highly recommend this quaint place for a good meal!
I have been up and down the California/Oregon coast.. This place has the best BEST fish and chips this side of the Oregon border. The only place that competes with them is The Crazy Norwegian in Oregon. They do not batter, but bread their fresh fish... So no greasy, just brilliant large pieces of white fresh fish., Beautifully cooked, and homemade original tartar sauce. It's a Win/ Win !!!!!!!
Service here is really slow even when there's not a lot of people. Food comes fast but trying to get a refill on drinks or pay takes forever. I had two tables who arrived 15 mins after me pay and leave before I could pay. And I just sat there waiting. I had the combo platter and none of the fish/seafood were seasoned. Very bland. The most flavorful thing on the plate was the tartar sauce. I'd definitely go elsewhere for seafood.
Yummy side salad, fish and chips. Good service. Good views.
This place is amazing. The view of Trinidad harbor while enjoying a hot bowl of clam chowder, you just can’t beat it. The flavor and texture of the clam chowder is incredible too, so much meat in it. And Liz, she’s the sweetest and really took care of us. 5 out of 5 over and over again :)
The view out into Trinidad's bay as you have delicious food is the type of peace we all deserve. Do yourself a favor and go eat here!
Cool place And Great Food! And Service!
Great view of Trinidad harbor and sits on the begining of the commercial fishing pier. Saw big tubs full of Dungeness crab. Food is. OK
Awesome view right on the pier. Pretty good food also.
The staff is very friendly and personable, they were on top of refills, and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend. Their mushroom burger was one of the best I’ve had!
Great location and service! However, unfortunately the food was not good at all. It contains a lot of butter/fat (fries, sandwich etc.) and also the shrimp salad did not taste good either...
Good fish tacos! Yummy clam chowder. Service was fast, and prices were reasonable. Great view too.
Great place to eat. Beautiful and nestled right in the Trinidad Harbor.
Go for the scenery but stay for the excellent food and service. Everyone is friendly price is reasonable and when you're done walk out on the pier. Highly recommend
